Freeze dryer installation and commissioning

Bringing a freeze dryer chamber into a 2-storey building
GEA Lyophil’s services do not end after the freeze dryer has left our works. Depending on customers’ requirements our service engineers are at their site to help install and commission the freeze drying equipment. Especially for complete systems including ALUS and isolators a correct levelling is crucial. Due to long lasting experience these experts can help to facilitate installation and shorten the time to get the equipment running.
Keep your freeze dryer running - After-Sales-Service
GEA Lyophil offers After-Sales-Service and spare parts delivery worldwide. Our highly qualified service engineers are trained to help you with installation and commissioning, to carry out troubleshooting in case of emergency and to accomplish regular maintenance.
Our After Sales Services include:
• Maintenance Contracts
• Maintenance plans
• Preventive Maintenance Services
• Spare parts
• Training
Spare parts
Requiring superior quality to grant a trouble-free operation of our freeze dryers, GEA Lyophil only uses parts and components of well-known manufacturers, which have proven their compliance and reliability with the pharmaceutical freeze drying technology.
This does not only apply to the manufacturing of our freeze dryers, but to the spare parts as well. GEA Lyophil has a stock of original spare parts, which in case of an emergency can be shipped by overnight courier in order to minimize downtimes.
For every freeze dryer, ALUS, isolator or CIP-Skid leaving our works, GEA Lyophil offers a spare parts package tailored specially to the equipment. In case of need the customer thus has a necessary spare part at hands to carry out the repair.
Maintenance Contracts
Regularly preventive maintenance helps to avoid unexpected downtimes. Therefore GEA Lyophil offers maintenance contracts covering a service engineer’s visit every 6 or 12 months, depending on the customer’s requirements. During these visits all wear parts are exchanged and the function of all components is checked. A terminal plant tests proves the trouble-free operation of the freeze dryer.
Training
It is not only a trouble-free functioning of freeze dryers, that grants a smoothly running production process, but personnel who are acquainted with their operation.
GEA Lyophil does not forget the humans working with the equipment. Well-trained staff who know the freeze drying process, the mechanical and the electrical function of the freeze dryer and the necessary maintenance work is essential for the pharmaceutical production process.
GEA Lyophil offers training programmes for operators and maintenance personnel tailored to the customer’s requirements. Based on the customer’s freeze dryer configuration these trainings cover design and function of the main components, for example refrigeration skid, vacuum pumps and control system as well as fundamentals of the freeze drying process.
